God's Word Preserved Through All Generations

"The words of the Lord are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, oh Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever." Psalms 12:6-7 (KJV)

If you ask the average person in America, "do you believe the Bible is the Word of God without any error," you would probably be hard pressed to find someone who would say no. The tragedy is that there is over two hundred different English translations of the Bible. This has created a great confusion and where there is confusion, the power of darkness is at work. Some self-proclaimed Bible scholars have made this statements, "we believe the Bible is preserved in the original manuscripts, but not in translation." If God can inspire all scripture in Hebrew and Greek, then He can and did preserve it into a perfect translation into the English tongue. So now, we have the huge task to find of two hundred translations the one God wants for English speaking people. I will say from the start, with apology, I am a firm believer that the King James Bible is the only true, preserved and inspired Word of God. Time will not allow me to give you all the facts to back up this statement. So I will try to center in on the main reason I love, study, read and try to live by the King James Bible.

In the year 1611 King James gave a decree to have the complete Bible translated into the English tongue. There were over 50 of the most educated Greek and Hebrew scholars of the day chosen to work together and check each other's work to be sure it was 100 percent accurate. If a translation does not come from the original manuscripts, then it can never be truly accurate; the KJV was translated from the correct manuscripts. The Old Testament was translated from the "Massoretic Hebrew" text. This text was confirmed to be the authentic Hebrew text by all Hebrew and Christian scholars of the early church. As early as the 12th century this text was confirmed and accurate. The text used for the New Testament is known as the "Textus Receptus" or "Received Text". This Greek text was received and believed by the first church of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The State Church and the Catholic Church did not accept these at any time. It was this way for 18 centuries until German rationalism was introduced. This was done largely by a man named Constantine Tishchendorf. He was the father of textural criticism.

Around 1881 the English Revised Version was put on the market and then in 1901 the American Standard Version came out in this country. These and all modern version are translated from faulty and unreliable manuscripts that lean toward Catholicism; some of these texts include the Septuagent, the Vulgate and the Theodotion. One of the greatest claims for modern translations, in regard to their choice of manuscripts is their age. They claim that these manuscripts that were dated in the 1400s are more reliable than the ones used in 1611; I will try to put this in perspective. The manuscripts that were used by the early church in time would get in bad shape. The Old and New Testament manuscripts would be recopied word for word on a new scroll. Then the worn out ones were destroyed to prevent someone from corrupting them. The reason these manuscripts used by modern version translators were dated earlier is because they had been rejected by the true church and were never used enough to be worn out. Many of the manuscripts used in modern version translation were discovered in the library of a Catholic priest and had been well taken care of.

So in conclusion, the modern versions being translated from corrupt manuscripts cannot be accurate. I know some of you say they read the same, and they may in some places, but they are different and cannot both be preserved by God.

One last thing on how to know the modern version is not of God. Just look at the worldly lives of the preachers and church members who use them. You will not find a man full of God, preaching against sin and ungodliness using a modern version. I did not say they were not conservative in some areas, but there is a great different in being Godly and being conservative. If the KJV is not infallible, where on earth shall we find infallibility?

Amen!
